Subject: Mind Your Own Business, Please

We read reports of mass chaos and riots in Honduras as people want Zelaya back for president. We read reports of how laws were broken by removing Zelaya.      Yesterday Paula and I most of our day in the city of Siguatepeque. In the morning we had a meeting with the police about fighting crime in our rural area. After that I went to the bank and withdrew some more building funds. Then I went and paid a couple of contractors.      Not once did we see any riots. We did not see a single protester. We did see business as usual.      To the leaders of the United States and Latin America, please get this through your heads: Honduras has a constitution. It has a supreme court. We also have a congress and a military. We have separation of powers, just like the American Republic. All three of these branches jointly agreed that Zelaya had broken laws and was not acting in the best interest of Honduras. It was obvious he wanted to be a dictator. It is obvious that Chavez bought him off a long time ago. It is also becoming clear that Chavez has paid off every other Latin American country that wants to usurp democracy here. It is starting to smell like the White House has some Chavez backing. Why else would these supposed democracies want to overthrow a democratically elected government?      This was not a right wing conspiracy to smash the poor. Zelaya was replaced by a man from his own party, the liberales (liberals, Red Party). His replacement, Micheletti, has openly said he was going to take from the rich and give to the poor.      I ask again, if GW Bush had confiscated ballot boxes and said he was going to run for re-election before the end of his SECOND term by running an election in June, what would America have done? What would the Democrats have said?      Don't believe everything you see in the news. The people here, especially the poor, have suffered greatly under Zelaya. Do not force your own views and oppression on another country. I really have to question decades of American foreign policy after seeing firsthand what is happening here.      There will be a day of reckoning. God is just. He will not ignore the cries of the poor and the oppressed.
