Gerardo got his first set of tests since he has been out of the hospital back this morning.  Everything checked out ok.  That is a wonderful blessing.  We see so many that have such complications.  We are grateful for his quick recovery.  He really does not have much pain.

Honduras is shouting tonight.  They just made it to the World Cup for the first time.  Fireworks are going off everywhere.

This week a man that we know was shot to death, at his home, with his young daughters looking on.  Today he was buried.  The children, that he was raising himself, will go to live with their mother in town.  The man was a friend to us and Jose and Lourdes.  He wanted his children to grow up with an education and to have more than he had.  We pray for this family.    Things in life can be so tragic and sudden.  I am so thankful we have a Father that knows how to comfort us.

We are looking forward to seeing Jim Pack (our mission's pastor) and our Senior Pastor, Ron Hogue in November.  They will be coming to meet and share with pastors here in Honduras.  Our pastor, Ron Hogue, has written a curriculum that is basically the same as a solid bible theology seminary degree.   It has been written and translated into different languages to serves pastors on the field in foreign countries.  It is already used in Cambodia.  It gives the pastors the opportunity to receive sound teaching and instruction.  It is meant for the pastors to come together once every quarter for about a day and a half.  The teaching is on CD in Spanish and the outlines and syllabus are in Spanish also.   It is very sound, practical, and godly teaching from a man with a true missions and pastors heart.   We are excited to have them come and share.

The kids are all happy, Jose and John spent some time repairing bikes today.  It seems there is always a bike in need of repair.   Most of the time a full overhaul!

Blessings, Paula
