Our very close friends left Honduras yesterday to take care of elderly parents. We will sorely miss them for the company and support they provided since our first year on the field. Although they weren't quite old enough, they were like precious grandparents to our children, very understanding of our situation and a delight to be with.

David and Leslie Hill are a wonderful couple. Dave would give anything he owned away at the slightest hint that somebody else needed it. There aren't many good things you can count on in this life, but you could always count on meeting up with Dave at the coffee shop for his daily granita if you hung out there in the morning. Dave helped us build our house among many other things he did with and for us.

Leslie took Paula under wing and showed her where to find things in Honduras. She was always there for Paula.

I can't say enough good things about this couple. I know that Dave gave his life to the Lord as an adult, so he like myself had time to make mistakes earlier in life. For this reason, he was full of grace, compassion, forgiveness and understanding. I wrote a book called "Pharisee". If there is an antonym for pharisee, I'd have to say it was "Dave Hill".

God Bless You, Dave and Leslie. May you have many fond memories ahead with your parents, children, grandchildren and great grand children. You touched many lives here in Honduras and will be sorely missed.
