Subject: Advent Day 6
Message:

 Daily Meditation:

Blessed are all who wait for the Lord.
No more will you weep.

The prophetic promise is so great.
What our God has done is so complete a victory over sin and death.
In the midst of my day today, can I let myself imagining that salvation
touching and transforming me?
And can I patiently wait for God's work to take effect in me
- letting him open my heart, day by day?
Imagining “true liberty” today, let us walk in his ways.

No longer will your Teacher hide himself,
but with your own eyes you shall see your Teacher,
While from behind, a voice shall sound in your ears:
“This is the way; walk in it,”
when you would turn to the right or to the left.
Isaiah 30

Today the Advent reading was in Isaiah 30.  I loved this meditation above over that scripture.  How desparately I need His Son to save me.  And how He longs to be gracious to me, to us. He waits to give us compassion.  He is just.  I long for Him.  He is no longer hidden from us, He sent His Son, His Flesh,  He taught and is rain to the seed in us.  O the day He will bind up the fractures in our hearts and heals all of our bruises.  He comes.

Psalm 147, it is good to praise Him!  He is our Savior and gathers us together and heals our broken hearts and binds up our wounds.  He is strength and understanding infinite.  He supports the afflicted and brings down the wicked.  It is good to praise Him!

Matthew 9:35-10:8 - He was moved with compassion at their lack of a shepherd.  He wanted more for the multitudes.  He healed and taught.  He gave life.  And then He empowered others to go and give life, He gave authority to others to go and bless and heal.  Wow.  What a Good Shepherd.  What  a Perfect Father.  I am moved to deep tears, joy, sorrow, and life all at the same time.  He is always, always, always caring for me.  Always.

He is our Rain, our Teacher, our Healing, our Salvation, our Justice.  He is who conquered sin and death that I might live.  Oh praise His Name.

Come Savior,

Paula
