Subject: Advent day 15 or maybe 16

We won't worry about those date markers.

Today, and the last few advent days, the word turning over and over in my mind is rhythm.  I have been stoping for set prayer times throughout the days and I love the  rhythm that gives.  I am one that needs to stop, look, and listen.  I get all mixed up with the beat and need to regroup and find the melody that I am to follow.  He is so beautiful that way.  I am called to glorify Him and live His love out loud, so I want the rhythm to be His will.

Today's midday prayer has a beautiful cadence and call.

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.   Where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon;  where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope;  where there is darkness, light; where there is sadness, light.

O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console, to be understood as to understand, to be loved as to love.  For it is in giving that we receive, it is in pardoning that we are pardoned, and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

Glory to the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever.  Amen.

There is an Old Testament story that really shows a rich part of the family tree of Jesus, Rahab.  She did what needed to be done and she was remembered.  In doing what she needed to do she came face to face with the reality of a miracle working God and she gave it all.  I love that the scarlet rope connected her to the King.  I love how her old beat stopped and she embraced the new song that the King had for her.  The song of redemption and grace.  I tear up at the beauty of Rahab's name and her place in history.  What in incredible God.

I await Him,
