So it begins, wedding Summer, our next chapter in life. Hopefully if you're reading this we will see you here on July 28, or in Grapevine, Texas on August 11.

Faith, John and Tim returned last week. They have been busy tutoring, swimming with the kids, working on the house, and cutting up animals for consumption. Above is a scaffold under construction to replace our rotted out overhangs, and paint.

Our dear neighbors have been fertilizing their field with fermented coffee husks, literally tons of it. It is waste material from processing coffee. Normally they fertilize with chicken manure, and finish in about a week. The manure smells worse, but it is usually done pretty quickly. They have been spreading this coffee stuff for over a month. It doesn't smell as bad, but it still brings a fly invasion. Our windows are from the most reputable place in town, but they do little to keep the flies out. I only hope the fertilizing is completed soon. I told our neighbors about the fly problem over a week ago, and they said they would do what they could to alleviate it, but I've seen no change in the routine. They are pacifists, but I'm beginning to wonder if they are passive aggressivists.

Remember, this is the first day, of the last days, of the rest of the beginning of your life. Or is it? Logic has always been a thorn in my flesh.

Lord bless,

Marcos
