From time in the Word today.
I shiver in your presence,
My face on holy ground.
You are worthy and wholly righteous,
No other God like you around.
So here’s my heart, my mind, and soul,
All yours to do your will.
I come to you and seek your face,
In your glory I linger still.
His glory revealed
It is our call
To put our faith
In His all.
Do I let it interrupt?
Do I have the space?
To let his Glory
Cover my face?
Father, today, I come fully present
To experience who you are.
I want to remove all of the layers I have strung up
Layers that cover your truth and hide myself.
Your glory consumes me and washes me clean,
So that there is nothing in between.
Your glory, your presence
Can take it all away,
The sin and shame have no place to stay.
When your light and power
Shine over my waste,
The beauty of you
Takes over my face.
In you there is wholeness and transforming life,
So I come to the altar and lay myself down,
Ready for healing and an end to the strife.
